Unbelievable accomplishment. Jill Ellis is now definitively our most successful alum wrgt athletic endeavors. Coaching back-to-back World Cup champions has only been accomplished one other time in mens or womens World Cup history.

Lets hope Coach Shackford can capitalize on this with recruiting and return W&M to the national stage.

Expected outcome but feels great just the same. Jill took some tough decisions, sitting legends, but clearly for the best.

I think this was done after the 2015 World Cup win so makes sense.

Now that I think of it, she'd be wonderful to also serve as the Grand Marshal of the Homecoming Parade.

It was unfortunate that the game it was done for was low attendance as I recall it was one of those non-parents weekend, non-homecoming games, and it was a rainy evening. Not much could be done about either of those as you're dealing with schedules. It's a big challenge to get her schedule to line up with five or six days we have home games. Basketball game also an option. I have no doubt they'll work something out though!
