The very first play in UCF-UCONN and they're wheeling out a stretcher.

Not a good look for the game.

Nice to see Tulane fixed the whole "the camera feels like it's in the 3rd row" problem from when GT played @ Tulane to open their new stadium. But isn't the press box still really low on the home side? Sooooo .... is there a guy from ESPN on a cherry picker on the roof of the press box?

The parade of dropped passes would suggest strongly to the contrary.

I didn't see a second of the game, but I have to agree. Being taken to OT by Tulane is concerning. I admit I know nothing of the Green Wave roster. What I do know is that Tulane's only season at .500 or better since 2003 is a 7-6 campaign in 2013 and the AAC media picked them to finish 5th (of 6) in the AAC West this season.

We always have surprise teams, but if Tulane is good this year, they'd be a big surprise.

I watched the whole thing. Tulane stalled out at the Wake 30-40 yard line more than a half dozen times. If Tulane even had a mediocre FG kicker they would have won. Wake's defense looked very "Ted Roof"-ish.

If past history is a guide, then it will always be a surprise when Tulane is good. But surprises do happen. Since 1950, Tulane has won 35% of its games against all competition, FCS included. I'm not sure if there is any school playing in the top division that long who has a worse record.

You very well may be right. It makes Shaun King and their 12-0 record in 1998 look even more impressive.

My Cards gave them the toughest test they had all season, losing by five or six with a just missed TD catch near the final horn that would have won it.

I picked WMU. But they've had two major fluke plays go against them from the half caught to intercepted pass to #22 lowering his head and then getting put on a stretcher.

17-0 Cuse with still plenty of time in the 1st quarter.

Also, #8 for Syracuse is visibly faster than anybody wearing a brown shirt.

Anyone else annoyed by that stupid 'Arbor' banner ad they keep hoisting on the field goal ball catch screen?

Blocks the TV viewers ability to see the cuse extra points.

Yep!. But happy so far. Very happy. Babers need to keep Dungey in the game til the 3rd qtr. He just is a better runner and game manager than the other qb's

WMU just isn't physical enough. This game is a wrap.

34-7 at the half.

I don't like that Syracuse took Dungey out in the second quarter. That's way too early even if it was 34-7.

We scored on every possession in the first half with him in. Then we punted on the first Devito drive.

Three straight possessions Syracuse hasn't scored now after putting in Devito after scoring 6 straight possessions with Dungey.

Lead down to 34-14 now.

Babers is really pissing me off right now.

Edit: Make that 4 straight possessions now with no points after taking out Dungey. Thank you so much Dino.

Babers has to coach for the whole season, not just tonight. Dungey is critical to Syracuse' success, and it's crazy to expose him to injury unnecessarily. It's also crazy not to take advantage of opportunities to give his backups reps they clearly need.

It's always obvious when you sub for the QB. I wonder how many reps the rest of the starters on offense are getting this quarter. That could impact Devito's performance. I just think you have to trust your coach in this situation.
