Title. While I expect the top half of the conference to take care of business, we really need teams like Temple, ECU and Navy to have a solid year. Matchups aren't looking too good next week either.

To be fair, there was absolutely no way anyone could have seen these additions being bad moves for the league...

I don't think one week means anything...One season of under-performance then you might have a talking point.

on the other hand..ecu, tulsa, temple wasnt going to define our tv deal......

most of navy is already under contract for years...the most valuable part of navy to us is the nd/navy game.. ND just became a power agian...the navy part we are selling just got more valuable...

on the other hand- a aac star validated his hype (ed oliver)- showing stars can be born from this league.. mckenzie milton dominated who has multiple years of elibility..if he comes back (short for the nfl).. him and tua will be the biggest stars in college football in 2019

- usf, memphis, Cincinnati, houston have all found new star qbs with multiple years of eligibility....with tulsa's qb having a chance to to make a name for himself next week (who is a soph)..if our top finishes this season strong, there is a chance the majority of touted qbs in college football next season could be in the AAC

They are more concerned with ratings than wins, but I guess wins now lead to better ratings down the road.

Texas at least lost to a div 1 team. Maryland might not be awesome but they aren't terrible either.

Temple just landed a home game vs Pedd State, which helps more than the Nova loss hurts.

great movie based from a novel buy a great writer Cormac McCarthy.

I fell in love with it the first scene of the movie. I recognized the road...it's one I've traveled down at least a dozen times. The county put a bit more maintenance into it, so it's not quite the adventure it once was, but still a worthwhile drive if you want to take the scenic route to Ruidosa Texas.

Definitely a great movie. I just watched it again last week. You have no idea how many times that quote has popped into my head in the days since...like almost every time I talk to a human being. :)

Looks like Memphis, UCF, Cincy, and Houston will have to carry the load as usual. Shame on ECU and Temple. Uconn is crap too.

Same thing every year. One game and every team is a champion or should quit football.

I never worry about week one. It tells little about how a year will go. Upsets always happen. The NFL has the preseason to work off the rust, College FB has game one.

It actually probably worked to UCONN's and the AAC's benefit to have the Huskies' FCS game in Week 3 since we weren't gonna be too competitive with UCF no matter when we played them this year. This young UCONN team should have a much better handle on things by the URI game.
