As for sales, that was only on-line sales. Up 31% year over year vs. 17% year over year last year. Remains to be seen what total sales do.

the latest from the 'sip....

https://mississippitoday.org/2018/09/14/...dump-nike/

Quote:The Mississippi Department of Public Safety, which includes the state’s Highway Patrol troopers, will no longer purchase any Nike products, according to Commissioner Marshall Fisher and Gov. Phil Bryant.

The decision by the public-safety department is a reaction to a recent Nike decision to run an ad campaign starring Colin Kaepernick. In 2016, as quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, Kaepernick began sitting and, then, kneeling during the national anthem to protest social injustice, particularly police killings of African Americans.

in other words.....fk off buggers....

as the population increases, it's going to be tough to see how their overall sales will be impacted.....

their branding is unparalleled at this point....

however, it doesn't change how many are going to ignore this as a negative moving forward....

they alienated a sect that has purchasing power.....

however, they're not marketing that crew.....they're targeting the lower I.Q. sect.....

so yeah, it probably won't mean shite other than continuing to promote division within the 'classes'....

So, Mach,

You support disrespecting the American Flag?

Wow.

Never would have guessed that, guess I over-estimated.

Sad.

Sad she selfishly stole the spot light from the young champion. I've like the Sisters for nigh on 20 years, this was ridiculous.

More entitlement. You got that asss kicked, deal 07-coffee3

America is advanced Democracy JMU. That’s what people fought and died for. It doesn’t matter what my beliefs are. What matters is their right to protest in anyway they see fit. If you don’t like it. Fine don’t watch it. If you don’t like Nike. Fine don’t buy a pair of their sneakers. Watch this video for a refresher on freedoms. Your side forgets this from time to time.

LOL, that movie is a caricature of real life with an obvious slant towards one direction. It was political porn for progressives. Keeping with the "American President" universe - Andrew Shepherd doesn't win in today's world. He's not the right skin color, he embraces a big tent democrat party and he never mentions "privilege". Three strikes against him if he was in today's Dem party. Oh yeah, socialism. He doesn't seem to be a big fan of it. However, movie doesn't touch much on economics - which is telling IMHO.

Your side can't distinguish shades of color.

Its one thing for him to do it on his own time. Its another for him to do it at work, especially when that work is supposed to be entertainment. And its quite another for a company to promote someone whose sole current claim to fame is antagonizing half the customers of his business.

isn't that what having to wear a logo is all about....

branding is a real thing....

do you not think the apple logo is in the same strata of recognition???

think ford vs. chevy......

the point of all this is the 'swoosh' just introduced a new attempt to impact those that believe that matters....

it's pretty obvious who they're targeting.....

Imagine the Nike Swoosh with a big picture of Kaepernick

And underneath the image the simple phrase, "Just screw it!"

It works for me!
