This is a PERFECT example of what the left doesn't get.
A "union" like the EU could work if it was simply a trade agreement, based on economic interests, or self defense like NATO.
Where it doesn't work is when you try and take many different cultures with different values and distinct philosophies and FORCE them to abandon those in favor of a centralized authority or plan.
The EU, the UN.... Working together is one thing, but requiring a set of beliefs/values based on political correctness, social justice, etc. ain't gonna work.
This is a PERFECT example of what the left doesn't get.

You can see the same thing happening here.
It has survived here for so long because of the Bill of Rights. This is why having a strict constitutionalist Supreme Court is so important. Historically, even the leftist courts have always defaulted to more individual rights; however, the judiciary has now gotten so political, I am not so sure this is the case. If a leftist government decided to ban Fox News because it does not align with America's "core values" and Fox took it to the Supreme Court, how do you think Ruth Bader Ginsberg would vote? I honestly don't know and she has already used international court rulings as precedent in her opinions.

You're absolutely right.
When you have the judicial system ignoring the constitution and making decisions based on politics, you're heading for trouble.
There's already signs of your Fox example coming true. Courts deciding the President can't enforce travel bans. Courts deciding that the President can't touch DACA. Courts deciding "refugees" have the "right" be come here no questions asked. Courts allowing cities/states to blatantly ignore federal agencies and immigration policy.
That's why I'm convinced that before I'm pushing daisies, there will be another civil war or at the very least states/areas seceding.

Ginsburg ignores the Bill of Rights. Not sure about Sotomayor. Kagan and Breyer still believe in it. There's at least 7 votes when it comes to individual rights.

There are two "views" on the Constitution:
1. Original Intent
2. Living Document
The Living Document view means you don't have a constitution.
This is why it's important to flood all federal courts with conservatives. The left has used the same tactic in the past and we've watched our nation erode away (aka "fundamentally transform").
RE: The EU strips Hungary of voting rights, might impose policies
This is why the EU is doomed to collapse. It doesnt have a common culture and far away bureaucrats are trying to destroy national sovereignty against the will of the people. Its why the right and far right continue to gain power. The craziest part is the policies of the Visegard countries make them safer than their migrant welcoming neighbors and the EU wants to punish them for no embracing multiculturalism.

RE: The EU strips Hungary of voting rights, might impose policies
Again, you want the EUs money, access to markets and freedom of movement for your citizens....you have to be a free democracy with human rights. Hungary no longer qualifies. They need to go. Without the EU under Orbans policies, Hungary would quickly (and I mean quickly) sink to the level of Belarus. Good news for Orban supporters...no one wants asylum in Belarus. No one wants to invest there either.
Kick Hungary out and reinstitute border controls arpund it. Tell Poland....youre next if you play that game. And warn Romania and Bulgaria.. youre being watched. A wink and a nod while you flout the parts of the deal you dont like wont be acceptable any longer. Enjoy having a massive number of underemployed or unemployed citizens with no access to the EU escape valve.
Orban has been free riding. They signed those accords. But they are all linked. Shut down private businesses and make a mockery of Democracy? Then leave the EU, Schengen, andthe European financial system.
