That’s not my opinion. That’s the opinion of the coaches of the AAC.
AAC Rookie of the Year
http://theamerican.org/news/2018/3/6/men...-year.aspx
Also the only unanimous selection to the AAC all-rookie team. Pretty clearly the consensual best sophomore in the conference.

Not necessarily. In this year's preseason, Jalen Adams is the only unanimous 1st teamer yet he wasn't voted Preseason POY.

Shawn Williams was voted the rookie of the year. That’s what the link is.

Watched the 2nd half, ECU has a lot more potential than last year. Got to learn to defend without fouling but the overall talent and athleticism is much improved.

Freshmen of the year normally goes to the most used/productive freshmen in the aac..
good teams that don't need to use their freshmen, doesn't mean your freshmen is better
uconn fans could argue alterique gilbert (mcdonalds all-american/injured last season) is better
smu fans could argue ethan chargois/isaha mike is better
and the list could go on
teddy allen (wsu), pierre-louis (temple), fabian white (houston), collin smith (ucf), david collins (usf) etc...
opinion: best sophomore
fact: won freshmen of the year
they are not one in the same

Production is what wins games. Fact: He was voted to have the best production of a freshman. You’re arguing semantics and I don’t care what your interpretation of my words are.

we are debating semantics....i was simply stating why there was a disagreement. i wasnt arguing one side or the other...
but simply stated why there was a discrepancy

Well it would help if ECU's best players would stop getting suspended. Shawn Williams was sitting over there on the bench looking like a little 5 year old kid in timeout, instead of being on the floor helping the team. I don't know what he did, but when he is out of timeout he doesn't need to do it again.
However, I agree that ECU does have more potential. They have about 5 or 6 guys (Fleming, Williams, LeDay, Foster, Wade and Gardener) that are actually AAC level players. There is another kid named Rico Quinton that has not played yet this season due to injuries, but on film he looks like a skilled solid big man. The rest of ECU's players; yikes! The best that you can say about them are that they are solid student athletes and they have 5 available fouls each game; and they are not afraid to use them.

lol where did you get this home movie of Pony94 as a little kid goalie? His dad was the coach that pushed him over. Poor kid. Poor Pony94.

I was just thinking this. Brooks and Davis are elite 3 point shooters, but y'all need to get some more scores attacking the bucket for those games one of them is struggling from deep.
That is what I am watching for from Jarreau.

RE: Opening Week AAC Basketball Games (Tuesday, 11/6 - Saturday, 11/10)
halftime update...
only 2 a&m players have scored a FG, (10 players have attempted a fg)
12 of their 18 points came from a PF (perimeter defense looks amazing), their top scorer the last 2 years has 0 points
post defense a little suspect
our guards only shoot 3s (galen made a 3 :-) )
breon getting more assertive in the paint

I like them getting the ball to Breon Brady. He is a real tough guard once he establishes position. Armoni Brooks gets better every season, really like his game.
Where is Jarreau? heard UH fans raving he was the next star player. I am sure he will be good, but curious seeing him only have 2 points on 1-3 shooting 30 minutes into a blow out.
Personally am chalking it up to a slow start and getting back into the flow of things after sitting out a season, similar to Isiaha Mike.
