As a member of the G5 you will never be able to do enough. Better to accept this fact than worry about what is completely out of your control. Peace.

Actually you can. Houston was in a great position a few years ago. Had they won out in 2016 I am certain they would have been in the playoff.

Ucfs scheduling let them down. They seem content with winning against poor competition and complaining about lack of respect, rather than challenging themselves against top power 5 competition.

Really? Funny you say that. Louisville was one of those teams that was "elite" competition for Houston that year. Obviously the bottom fell out, but UCF does have them on the schedule. Nobody can predict years in advance if a team will be good or not. As far as a team such as Oklahoma...... I am sure UCF would have no problem playing a team like that in the citrus bowl, which was the equivalent of what Houston did. UCF trys to stay away from one and dones. However, if Alabama called today and asked for a one and done next year in Tuscaloosa....... I'm pretty sure UCF would do everything in their power to make it happen. Problem is, those phone calls don't happen cause nobody wants to play UCF OOC at this time since losing to them would torpedo their playoff chances.

I always find it funny when people say "play somebody." Its usually elitist P5 fans/media that dont understand how things work, or they know how it works and have no other arguement. Or of course it's the jealous left behind G5 down the road whose only trophy is their #2 ranking a decade ago for a week.

It's been actively discussed on the Cincinnati board whether a respectable UCLA, @OSU, Temple, UCF, USF, Houston, Memphis, potential AAC champ game would be enough for UC next year if (IF) they run the table.

The optimist in me says yes.. would love nothing more for the committee to be put in that positive and force their hand. Same with '16 Houston.. would have been awesome to see them run the table and force the committee to say no with a respectable schedule.

no, they may have been 5 at best... most likely 8 or 9.

It's a travesty what's happening to college sports. UCF and Cincy deserve better right now.

I knew when Middle Tennessee was snubbed with the NCAA Tournament that we will never see an at large bid ever again. Not just the snub but how the committee framed it. They couldn't used SOS writ large because MT had a top 5 non-conf SOS. The head of the committee when pushed on it essentially said we don't want teams like this in the tournament anymore. It was one of the most brazen things I've heard regarding non power conference teams.

It's always been harder with football, but what's happening with UCF is a joke. I can't even remember the last time UCF lost a game and they can't see fit to put them in the top 10?? It's rigged. Always has been and always will be.

Obviously you can't predict 100%, but I doubt many people would say that it's just as likely that unc and pitt will be highly ranked as it is that Oklahoma or Louisville would be. The schedule was poor and it let you guys down.

Usf never was going to be in contention for anything this year so our schedule is irrelevant. Next year we have Wisconsin on the schedule. Along with byu and gt. Not a terrible schedule.

They were 6 before their loss, which was before they beat #3 Louisville. They would have made it because they scheduled top tier opponents.
