RE: Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl: USF vs Marshall
Is USF now the first team in college football history to have a seven-game winning streak and a six-game losing streak in the same season?

Miami (Ohio) almost did the opposite in 2016, but they lose their bowl

That’s right. Not to long ago.

You should not cast stones. You were one of these people on the board bragging all season about how great the MWC was. Your MWC had a team lose to a team from the MAC.

The AAC is obviously not a Power league on the field. As Coog and others have said, P6 is just marketing

Don't remind me about that debacle against Mississippi State. But we played that in St. Pete too funny enough, I guess it's where dreams go to die and history is up for grabs.

Announced crowd of 14,135. No way they had that many people at RJS. Thought USF would have had strong contingent of fans, since it was essentially an added home game.

You say that like Marshall isn't traditionally one of the strongest G5 football programs in the last quarter century. In fact, no team wearing an AAC logo on their uniform has ever defeated Marshall. Marshall now has last game scoreboard on EVERY AAC football school (and Wichita State in last year's NCAA MBB Tournament for their basketball-only member) except for UCF who haven't played since leaving C-USA.
It looks like if the AAC will ever break this stream, UCF will have to up their schedule and play Marshall again...

It looks like all those people could have fit in lower level seats between the 30 yard lines. Did all those fans want to have lousy views, or were the organizers just being hard-***** by making them sit in the seats they bought on line?

Was basically played in a monsoon on a weeknight so that certainly depressed attendance. Had it been a sunny Saturday you'd see a different story, I'm also guessing that the USF fan base wasn't very excited coming off a blowout loss to UCF and five-game losing streak.

Weather was obviously a factor but 14K announced is sad. We all know that is the sold/distributed total. Anyone know what each team's allotment was? 5000?

Is that the real name of a bowl?

You can have the outdoor 90+ heat and rainstorms, I'll take the Trop. Either way there needs to be light rail across the bay.

lol...you do, of course, realize that USF finished in 8th place in the AAC. They actually were just 3-5 in AAC conference play.

I assume this means that no AAC fan will ever again mention or celebrate beating any P5 team in the bottom half of its conference. Right?

In the summer and early fall sure, afternoon thunderstorms and armpit humidity are a given. But in December or January? Most the time it'll be alright outside. And light rail across the bay would be a boondoggle, just expand that Tampa to St. Pete ferry that started a few years back.

Houston lost their last football game against Marshall, too.
Maybe your league shouldn't continuously let undeserving teams get winning records.

Sounds like you're saying the gap between the G4 conferences and the AAC is the same as the gap between the AAC and the five contract-bowl-conferences...which is what P6 is all about (yes even "tweener" supports the P6 campaign).
