RE: Big Ten call tonight
Is this the call where PSU, OSU, UM, & Nebraska inform the Big Ten of their intentions to join the BXII that one reporter was talking about?

So, will there even be basketball or baseball?

I don't think there will be indoors basketball, and if there is no football or basketball- don't see any baseball.

RE: Big Ten call tonight
So the universities in Michigan and Illinois, among others, are being pressured not to play football. As a result The Big Ten wants everyone else to shutdown since some of their universities are being forced into not playing.

Lots of politics as expected.

Not surprised. Northern Illinois was the main one championing for the MAC to delay. I'm unclear how the other schools felt, but I suspect the 3 Michigan's & Buffalo voted to cancel as well. That's 5 right there.

If the Big 10 cancels, will the SEC? Im not so sure they will blindly follow the lead of the Big10 in this dance. The Pac-12 and ACC would probably do what the Big10 does. That would leave the Big-12 and G5 with a big decision if the SEC splits with the other P5's on fall football for 2020.

So a playoff of like Alabama vs Georgia and Oklahoma vs LSU. With a 24 team NCAA give or take SBC, CUSA schools?

The SEC will shut down within hours of the B1G announcement. Anyone expecting different is fooling themselves.

The ACC will not follow The Big Ten. If The ACC follows anyone it will be The SEC.

The PAC will bend over for The Big Ten at a moment’s notice. I doubt anyone else in the country does.

Not surprising that leagues with heavy presence in Michigan and Illinois would be pushing to cancel football. The MAC already canceled and now The Big Ten is pushing it.

Politics in The Big Ten won’t be making decisions for ACC and SEC.

So high schools across The Big Ten... Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin to name a few, will be playing this fall but universities won’t? Not a good look...

All high school sports here are shut down until at least Jan. Both my sophomore nephews were going to be starters on varsity. They still have practices w/ small pods of kids.

You don’t think it’s strange that high schools will be playing this fall in Ohio but the state university may not? Can’t believe OSU fans haven’t asked that question...

Thats interesting. Ive always assumed the mind set of the ACC presidents was more similar to the Big10 administrators than SEC presidents.

My friends in Orange County are doing the same thing. That’s why I haven’t expected The PAC to play this fall.

Yeah, I always lump Big 12 w SEC w/ their focus on football.

It would be what it is. lol, it might be last man standing the way things are going. Also, I would think you could potentially have 2 schools claiming FBS national championhips for 2020-2021---a fall FBS National champ and spring FBS national champ.
