Nope. Just an observation about how much other C-USA programs have improved in recruiting.

I don't really think about the Sun Belt. For the most part, that is in our past. Over the next decade, we only have one series scheduled with a Sun Belt program (USA in 2025 & 26). But, best of luck with your season. I honestly hope ULM wins the Sun Belt football championship.

Yes. Little preparation vs any of the service academies will lead to you looking silly.

We lost our first two games vs Navy pretty ugly. David Elson coached a loss when we had just moved up. Willie Taggart coached another loss and they just made us look silly as hell. I watched that game and we looked awful against them.

Then Petrino beat them here. His staff going into the game said they’d been working against that offense all spring and all fall. They and Army were the only teams we’d face using that offense yet they saw that game important enough to work on being very disciplined on defense. It paid off.

Brohm with the same defensive coordinator beat them the following year in Annapolis. Brohm also beat Army in BG that year, 2014.

Last year we beat them 17-8 and if I remember correctly they scored really late to get their 8 points. Our dee pretty much dominated them last year.

You can beat that offense. But you can’t just give it one week’s prep for it.

So we’re 2-2 against Navy. 3-0 against Army. Never played Air Force.

As much as the photo of the commissioner in the toy vehicle represents her leadership, this tweeted photo, at least to me, does the same for stockstill.

He probably didn't want to see the field last Saturday. His mask is his quiet place.

Was army this good? Or was it a case of the navy thing and just not being prepared? This really shocked me .

No. We are that bad.

Stockstill is like every other coach who spends decades at their job and begins to decline over time. Minus all the championships the other schools seem to get along the way.
