Miami/Charlotte over Boone/Huntington...thats the only reason, even if literally no one in those markets cares about those teams, they're at least in those markets.

Owls need to emulate UConn's model and go ALL-IN on hoops and head back to the Atlantic 10.

FWIW: Football has been outscored 140-20 in games this season vs. Rutgers, BC, and Cincinnati.

SMU must be going somewhere, or this report isn't true. I don't believe SMU would let us in while they are still in the American.

14 makes no sense.. UNLESS espn is backing it... which almost certainly espn is backing it

if i had to guess, ESPN has just decided the aac is going to be its best of the rest league, and use its powers to try and elavate those 6 teams (promoting them everywhere)

if you are marshall, usm, la tech fans this sucks for you guys...c-usa almost certainly back filling with fcs .... c-usa IMO has to take liberty...

almost all these adds are western teams.... you wont even been in the smae division as them...youll be grouped with mostly current aac teams...

and temple has a chance at easy wins for a few seasons...

Fat chance. SMU isn’t good enough to go independent but I could see the golf club egos wanting to go that route rather than be with what’s left. The big 12 isn’t adding them TCU and Baylor wouldn’t vote on that.

Not a soul would think adding SMU alone gives any P5 any market share in Texas when Tx tech TCU Baylor and Houston all would jump to the B1G or PAC or ACC if that were an option

So the AAC is where you’re staying, and deep down, you know the best move for now. SMU isn’t dead here, they can get in the top 25. They can play on New Year’s Day. And maybe some day we get a system change and something like the SWC where SMU and Houston really belong comes around again.

But for now, you’ll be fine.

West = La. Tech, UTEP, Southern Miss, WKU, Middle Tenn.

Ya…. But that makes me think that Aresco expects to lose some more teams. I’ve always felt like SMU make a lot of sense for the Big 12.

Is this a move that says the MWC is actually about to successfully take a few AAC west schools? Like this makes no sense on any level I can come up with. There's no way ESPN values these schools enough to make it worth adding 6 of them, if they did C-USA wouldn't be making pennies.
