I was just getting ready to ask for the over/under on fights in this game? On the field and in the stands.

JMO, but I suspect the state has something to do with this. They have always had strict Covid rules. I was surprised they let the game go on in the first place.

Cute, but this would have been our 8th straight bowl game, and the only fight was in 2015 in Miami. BYU started that one, and we finished it. And nothing happened in the stands.

Bowl-cation.

Hawai'i had some sort of player revolt against Todd Graham after the season ended. A couple of Hawai'i native players, including a QB, announced they were going to leave the islands because they were upset with the Coach.

Maybe this has something to do with the State... Maybe it's more than that.

Woah there sparky, the comment was more about Hawaii and the locals. They have a fairly awful reputation for altercations.

I'm sure the official record will state "no contest" but I'm counting it as 3-0 AAC.

Some of our folks are hypersensitive. lol

Yeah, Hawaii has always had a rep of playing dirty when hosting their bowl game. I've always thought that joke of a bowl should be retired, or at least keep those punks from playing in it.

Going forward, it really is better for the Hawaii Bowl to invite two teams from the mainland. The University of Hawaii is just too fukked up to be allowed to play at home. There are always fights in the game when Hawaii plays and now this BS. I truly believe the COVID excuse is a cover for the Hawaii players basically refusing to play due to their coach.

I originally wanted Boise State to play MEMPHIS in this game and now it seems that would have been ideal.

with no suitable stadium the ncaa should pull that bowls accreditation and move it to Miami Beach. that bowl/location could have been a real winner if given a chance

Thank sucks. They should go to the Gator Bowl not Rutgers at 5-7

Memphis should had been invited to Gator Bowl rather than Rutgers

Texas A&M was a COVID withdrawal.
Rutgers got pulled in as the 5-7 team with highest APR.

And reportedly, the school year and finals were late enough that getting the team together to prepare for 31 Dec bowl was not impossible.
