EKU is D1 in football bub…

You're moving to D1 now. You can afford to forget that FCS is D1.

Yes, I sincerely hope that UAB gets an at large bid.

RE: Basketball this week
MT looked a bit shaky, but even Kermit's great teams often looked rough in exhibitions.

Supposedly MT ripped UT-Martin and Austin Peay in preseason "secret" scrimmages.

These exhibitions don't tell us anything about our teams (much like an NFL preseason game).

WKU just can't buy a bucket. What's wrong with their shooting?

Poor game for a lot of Toppers on offense. Frampton and Hamilton carry the scoring load and team defense leads to a slim Topper win on the road against the Colonels.

Best of luck the rest of the way EKU.

Officiating lived up to its reputation in Richmond that we’ve become accustomed to over the years. Grind it out win in a sold out environment and rivalry game, so we’ll take it. Offense has so many weapons, just have to fine tune it. On to the next.

I’ll take any win on the road, especially with so many newcomers against a old rival. I was very worried about this game, it’s going to take 3-5 games for this team to gel.

Go Tops!

Actually I thought the refs were pretty fair in their calls overall. I told my buddy who I was watching the game with, along with the WKU vs Rice volleyball game, that the refs called it pretty much fair.

Yep, refs didn’t STAND OUT like most games, most replyays showed the calls was pretty good. There are always a few that are questionable, but overall not bad

From the other side, I agree. There were a few that stood as bad on our end too, but I don't think it was grossly tilted in one team's favor. I am pretty sure McKnight stepped out of bounds before getting fouled after that one steal.

I think you both protest too much. For EKU a win is a win. I hope we get it vs western. Contrary to your large egos and misplaced beliefs, if we don’t the sun will come up the next morning in Richmond. The only thing you’ve proven here with your trite remarks is EKU still lives in your head!

Excuse me? You had your biggest crowd since 2004. If that doesn't qualify as "superbowl" then I don't know what does. When EKU comes to Bowling Green next year it won't be close to our biggest crowd of the year. WKU fans expect to beat Eastern.

Western has tons of room to grow and I believe this schedule will allow them that. Other than a real lack of halfcourt low post offense. I think this Western team has the ability to score a lot of points....

even if that was not the case last night

Excuse me! Those kind of old, over used and trite innuendos does nothing to promote your team, proves nothing, and makes you look like a 5th grade child. If we have had a smaller crowd you would have had a snide remark to make, we have a full house and you can’t help yourself in sounding like an egotistical fool.

UAB has a good early OOC test starting at 4:00 PM Central against a tough Toledo team. It will be streaming live on Barstool.

The point is it is an asymmetrical rivalry. Why should we give you a sellout that you can use to recruit if our fans don't feel the same way? We can play Austin Peay and get the same benefit without going on the road to a team that has daggers out for us. I've said nothing that wasn't factual. Sorry if the truth hurts.
