Congratulations to SMU. I'm not sure if 9 years of zero media money is a smart move when the ACC is almost certain to lose at least their top programs, but they did get into a traditional power conference.

With Stanford and Cal off to the AAC also, I don't blame the presidents for passing on any expansion with OSU & WSU. 13 is fine unless Aresco can lure Army.

In addition to the attendance boost and more opportunities for ad revenue, SMU is getting around $10M per year from the ACC.

Basketball attendance will probably double.

I did the math yesterday, and came up with less than $10 million -- but yeah, at least what the AAC distributions have been, even with zero from the media contract.
