Since I invented the term (and, yes, I am quite proud of it), I get some say in what it means.

It is not just ignorance that gains someone the label of "Trumplet". It also requires a measure of dishonesty.

--> Pretending that the only thing wrong with Donald Trump is "mean tweets", while ignoring voluminous recitations of his incompetent, lazy and uncaring leadership is Trumplet behavior.

--> Not responding to actual points raised for discussion with anything other than "Reeeee" is Trumplet behavior.

--> Making up straw man positions in order to duck real concerns with Donald Trump is Trumplet behavior.

--> Believing that the interests of the nation are the same as (or perhaps even subordinate to) the interests of the infallible Donald Trump is Trumplet behavior.

You are not a Trumplet TripleA. Just an apologist for the Trumplets.

I'm not an apologist for anybody. I just have a different opinion of some of these people.

I happen to be good personal friends with several whom you hang that label on, when I know they are nothing of the sort, as you define it.

You are labeling people whom you don't know other than through a stupid political message board.

I also think you are overly obsessed with Trump, rather than with Biden, who is the real problem for this country.

And a couple of these guys tweak you with over the top stuff, just b/c it spins you up so much.

You get rep points for being offended by the term "Trumplet" on others' behalf, TripleA. It is meant to be offensive. (And frankly I'd worry about someone who is not offended by being accused of hero worshipping as undeserving a schmuck as former President Trump. Nevertheless, and very much unlike you TripleA, actual Trumplets for the most part run and hide when called out on it. Or just show up and blurt out meaningless words like "filth" and "Reeeee". They are lucky to have you as a "good personal friend" in order to cyber wipe their noses and dry their eyes.)

Point number two: I'd be very disappointed if posters stopped tweaking me on my dislike of President Trump. For all the discouraging crap that happens daily in the real world, getting to vent about it here is one of the few silver linings. I deeply appreciate it, and honestly would be most sad if my bad posting manners ever actually get me banned.

I understand your position. I just think name calling is pointless. Especially when my friends are involved.

You can b!tch about Trump all you want, but why make it personal for others who have a different viewpoint? That's just like all the other stupid back and forth on here that inevitably devolves into kindergarten name calling.

And I also think we have bigger issues than Trump, although I do agree with you that having Trump running for office is bad for being able to beat Biden, b/c Trump stirs up the left even worse than he does you.

Also, my buddies don't need their noses wiped, thanks. It's just a quirk in my character that I feel compelled to defend them, even though they are all big boys and are capable of defending themselves.
