they have no brand in football other than losing 43 out of the last 50 seasons in football and 2 of those were 1 game over .500

Who has been in the league the longest? That is a reflection of the value of the program at least at the time. The rest are backfills. This is a conference of backfills and UTEP had the biggest brand. That is a historical fact. It is hard to be stupid enough not to know that.

Even UTEP fans know why we are the longest tenured school in CUSA and we certainly aren't bragging about it.

Western Kentucky fans have no idea they were playing Division II football when UTEP were in the same conference as BYU, Arizona and Arizona State. And even when they find out, they can't figure it out.

RB40, as a PV supporter and "visitor" here, you gonna get lumps when you talk history about teams and a conference your team doesn't play in. Support UTEP as you wish, bashing WKU in historical terms, well is unwise and asking to be pounded on. And as a newbie with 149 posts, you gotta sort earn your stripes. It's a path we all have traveled.
