Getting some clarity in the northeast FB situation

Army to the American
Delaware to CUSA

This leaves CUSA with 10 schools.

The CAA takes another hit. That will take the CAA down to 13 and there are rumors of Charleston leaving.

This makes eleven for CUSA. Kennesaw State joins next year.

How long until CUSA announce a 12th member and who? Does UMASS have any choice? Is Missouri State ready?

JMU, ODU, Liberty, UNCC, App St, ECU, Marshall, Temple, Delaware....my stomping grounds is growing quite well at the G5 level

All indications from Matt Brown suggest Missouri State does not want a Conference USA invite. They are holding out for a Sun Belt invitation.

I trust the MAC poster on this thread who says their latest additions could be UMass + UConn (football only).

As far as a 12th Conference USA member...I think it's Tarleton State.

I am confident it will be UMass by New Year. Or all three, UMass, Missouri St. and EKU by summer.

I know some CUSA fans might not enjoy this addition but I believe Delaware will add some competitive football to the top end once they get through their transition.

I wonder if Delaware would make this move if they they plan to be stuck on an island or I wonder if this is a signal that UConn FB only and UMass could be making announcements soon about their futures too.

Sure it was. Just have to make the best of it now. I'm sure they'll add at least one more. No good options, so that will be bad again, but maybe they can find a "least bad" 12th.

I'm not sure who that would be.

I suppose when an institution of higher learning that aspires to be a top public research institution has a chance to align itself with a bunch of schools in which "coloring within the lines" is an aspirational goal for their graduates, you have to do it.

Conference travel will be worse.

We will be dividing CFP money another way (at least).

We will be dividing NCAA tournament money another way (at least).

Maybe the media deal will go up enough to cover those costs?

Good for Conference USA and the Fightin' Blue Hens.

Does this mean Delaware is banned from CAA autobid the next 2 years?

No, it won't. Your point is valid. Maybe we can just help everyone out and kill our program. Might as well since it's clear our administration has decided not to take revenue sports seriously anymore and only cares about APR.

Forgot about Kennesaw.

Charleston is rumored to be an A-10 add if/when the Big East takes an A-10 school. Was mentioned about a month or do ago.
