Those were the days. 14 years ago!!
Yep. Look at the crowd. Engaged, loud - cheerleaders actually doing something useful, student section on their feet and into the game....team playing like a team. Were those assists I was watching? I cant remember what one looks like.

Same thoughts. Those were great days. Someone send this video to Wood. He should be ashamed of himself for letting us get to this state of terrible.

Thursday 7:00 in Atlanta: Georgia State (7-7, 2-1 Sun Belt). ESPN+
Results to date: Belmont (87-89); W Michigan (77-70); NIU (64-70); Little Rock (88-77); Little Rock (93-90 OT); Charlotte (57-65); Kennesaw State (77-88); Middle Ga State (89-57); Mercer (60-64); BYU (54-86); Toccoa Falls (122-45); Arkansas State (91-90); S Mississippi (73-79); S Alabama (90-76).
Last game: Ga State opened the game 11-2, S Alabama rallied to take a 28-26 lead and the half remained close to end 42-40 GS. The Panthers expanded the lead to 61-53 with 11:18 and then to 80-65 with 4:28, coasting to a 90-76 victory. Ga State shot 55% FG (10-21 3s) and all 5 starters hit double figures. Lucas Taylor led the Panthers with 22 pts (9-13 FG, 3-4 3s, 1-2 FT), Toneari Lane had 20 (7-16 FG, 6-2 3s, 0-1 FT), Leslie Nkereuwem had 13 (6-8 FG, 0-1 3, 1-2 FT), Jay’Den Turner 11 (5-9 FG, 1-2 3s) and Dwon Odom added 10 (3-9 FG, 4-4 FT).
Picked 11th pre-season Sun Belt behind 2nd team Dwon Odom and3rd team Brenden Tucker. #1 SB in FT% (#29 NCAA). Balanced scoring a key to their success…in 5 of 7 victories, 5+ players in double figures. Treys not a dominant factor in GS games…Panthers take 23.7/game (make 7.5) while opponents take 21.4 (make 6.3). The main sniper is Lane (117/179 attempts are 3s). Odom excellent PG that shoots well and is their 2nd leading RBer. Note that 6-5 Turner is their leading RBer. He transferred from Queens where he led the A-Sun in RBing last year.

I'm at this game! Front row, in a black tank top with my face painted blue and silver. Before the days of being a cheerleader and in the heyday of being in the FRC (Front Row Crew )
These are the dayes I fell in love with ODU basketball. Getting there hours beforehand, painting up with my buddies, cheering til I had no voice left. And the team was domination too. What a time

Not even looking forward to the games anymore. We should just give awards to the person who dribbles the most and who makes the most contested fadeaway jump shots.
