No. If the ACC wants a basketball-only, two better ones: UConn and Georgetown.
Both ETZ, both new states
However, 'Nova, UConn, & Gtown are all FOX properties. Gonzaga is an ESPN property. Plus, the ACC already has Cal & Stanford . Why not Gonzaga?? Also, Dayton is an ESPN property that's been looking to move, from what I've heard What about them? Saint Louis is also someone the ACC might want to look at, IMO.
I would rather get Memphis as They are ESPN and pretty decent in Both Basketball and Football and Tennessee is a new area that is continuous with ACC states. Plus They have some history with ACC members
Touche'!! Forgot about Memphis!! Okay, so Memphis, Temple, & Gonzaga, if ESPN throws a lot of $$'s the ACC's way?
Just how much money?

RE: Should the ACC invite Gonzaga??
Basketball doesn't need a teetering private school across the country. It needs better metrics and improvement at the bottom, because we go 9-3 vs the Big XII and somehow they are projected 10 teams in the Dance and we have 3. In what world does that make sense?
Notre Dame, Louisville, FSU, and Georgia Tech stunk it up OOC. 3/4 probably need a new coach and perhaps Len Hamilton—as much as I love the guy—might have seen this new world pass him by.
I forgot FSU is 6-2 in conference. Win some games outside the league, thanks.

Perhaps FSU's new strategy is to sabotage ACC NET rankings until Tobacco Road begs them to leave?

It's the NCAA's doing more than anything, they did not allow Primo Spears play until the 9th or 10th game, he averages 10ppg and has been our 6th man since he got the go ahead. I wonder if the NCAA selection committee will consider that we are "a different team" on selection Sunday? Probably not

My biggest gripe about the committee is they’re lazy and don’t seem to understand teams get better throughout the season. They hardly punish those that get worse!

Here"s the thing: they don't want to come back.

Ask Maryland fans about that. How much money are they seeing from that FOX contract?
Here’s the other thing: Gonzaga has a 0.0000% chance at being invited to the ACC. Maybe take this idea to the Big XII board.

We desperately need a new Head Coach and Staff. Unbelievable how far the program fell since Mack resigned and even before after Rick and Tom were let go . Like Rick said recently the BOT burned the program down. Believe Me 95% of the fan base is both angry and embarrassed by what has taken place in its wake

Here's what MD got versus the rest of the B10:
Fiscal Year B10 - MD - ACC Average
14 - 32M - 24M 26.5M
15 - 34M - 26M 23.5M
16 - 37M - 25M 26M
17 - 53M - 26M 29M
18 - 55M - 27M 29.5M
19 - 54M - 28M 32M
20 - 49M - 43M 36M
21 - 58M - 54M 39M
Going forward MD has a $30-$50 M loan to pay to the B10 so I expect that they are getting an annual 8-10% deduction for the next 5-6 years.

I watched the UVa at Louisville game this past Saturday on the CW. Coverage of the game was solid. The Louisville team really looks bad...they made Ryan Dunn look like an all-American, a freakishly good athlete. UVa normally needs muscle and rebounding, but Louisville had no heart.

No.
There are bigger basketball brands, in more attractive markets, that the ACC could pursue. Regardless, basketball doesn't generate enough revenue to make basketball-only expansion profitable. If basketball made sufficient revenue, UConn or Georgetown would be near the top of the expansion list.
An international airport also doesn't help. All the ACC schools are already in the US. More importantly, there aren't direct flights from east cost cities to Spokane, WA.
