Something else I found interesting. The guy that plays Jax is British. I have always thought his speech pattern was different. I thought it was West Coast or something. But my wife saw him in an interview and he is full on british, speech and all.

It amazes me how American actors can learn british / irish dialect, and vice versa.

He's really been slipping the last 2 seasons.

I don't how the finale can be anything but anti climatic. The last several episodes were season finale material.

Jax gets arrested (looks like he will be doing hard time) and another SOA (other than Clay) dies...we'll see.

I'm along the same lines as you. For some reason I don't see Jax killing Clay with an injection. Either the 9ers get erased, or they take out one of the club members.

Does the season end with the deaths of Clay and Otto?

My first Law School final is at 9AM tomorrow morning, but I really want to watch Sons tonight. I guess we'll see how I am feeling.

RE: Sons of Anarchy
I'll give my thoughts in general because I don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't had a chance to watch yet.

I thought it was effective in what it was trying to accomplish, but I wouldn't give it that highly of a grade. Probably deserves about a "B" right now. I've read a handful of reviews and quite a few people (critics and their comment section contributors) really disliked the finale. Most of it seems to revolved around the twist, calling it unrealistic and that it came out of nowhere. Uh, no, it's very realistic and it's been hinted at much of the season.

I think the best thing about it was the where everything was put into place for next season. You can tell why Sutter prefers to think of the show as three Acts rather than breaking it down into seasons.

Wasn't a big fan of the cover song, which was disappointing given that I really like the most widely recognized version.

RE: Sons of Anarchy
I thought it was a pretty epic season up until bullets were fired in the clubhouse (not to give too much away), but I thought it fell off significantly after that. I do think looking back there are scenes that make more sense in light of the revelation at the end, but I wish they would not have gone that way. So much tension had been building and the way they finished it off was ultimately a let down. I still be back for more next season.

An interview with Sutter about the finale. Don't read if you haven't watched

RE: Sons of Anarchy
My least favorite season finale thus far, but it did set up the future of the club.

The big question is who is going to play Damon Pope? The Wire cast has a ton of potential great candidates. I'd love to see it be more of a cerebral character. Bring back Prop Joe (Robert Chew)!

RE: Sons of Anarchy
Sutter on why his show shouldn't be compared to The Wire.

http://sutterink.blogspot.com/2011/12/cr...archy.html

Quote:Some critics get it. Ken Tucker, Matt Zoller Seitz revel in the giddy truth. Sepinwall and others continue to bang their heads against a wall, applying a level of analysis that is best reserved for a David Simon show. The Wire, we ain't, nor do we aspire to be. For the record, SOA is an adrenalized soap opera, it's bloody pulp fiction with highly complex characters. Often, I think the depth of the characters, the emotionality of the writing and the amazing performances is what confuses critics. Those qualities put the show on par with other great dramas. But then I'll go and cut the balls off a clown or turn a plot point absurdly upside down and I will most certainly blow something the **** up. It's those things that drive critics crazy.

Sutter typically likes to go with people he's worked with in the past. Forest Whitaker, perhaps?

RE: Sons of Anarchy
I figured the finale would be anti climatic following the previous few episodes. I needed to come down a little bit anyways, and things are pretty much set up for next season.

I hope they address gemma and how she knew clay killed her husband and then she acted like a victim.

and whats up with her and the chief? I feel like there's a back story there.

I guess you could classify Unser as being Gemma's protector. He knew her at a young age and tried to help her in a big brother sort of way.

Would it be possible to add

tags to the board?

Yeah but didn't she kiss him on the mouth one time? I know cincy is pretty close to kentucky, but up north brothers and sisters don't suck face.

It was just her way of trying to manipulate him. He knew it, and she knew it. :)
