Apparently we "cheated" by bidding for and being awarded the conference tournament, and then having the unmitigated gall to win it.

Congrats to UAB. You apparently were playing well enough to beat a P5 team on a court other than one in Birmingham. Do it again, and again, and again.

This home court advantage tourney stuff is overblown. You are playing great BB, and proved it today. Please continue to represent our conference well!

I made the mistake of looking at La Tech's message board and let's just say I wasted brain cells that could have been used for something more useful.

Right now we are a joke....and rightfully so.

Now? Just now you are figuring that out?!? Check out that tech bb sometimes. The most delusional fans anywhere.
Congrats on the win. I had yall as my biggest upset in my bracket. I appreciate the points. Keep winning!

Congrats on the win. Its so nice not seeing a new La-Tech thread every day about how they are C-USA champs. Speaking of which, I guess Dawgxas crawled back into his hole. Maybe a select few of their fans will learn to mouth off AFTER they win and get into the bid dance.

UAB fans have been defending themselves from the likes of you and others for something that shouldn't even need to be defended. UAB has been attacked and you didn't expect kickback from it?

Those that have been gracious to us has received the same in kind. Those that haven't, well y'all can kick rocks!!!

Probably good advice. Louisiana Tech is way easier to defeat.

RE: UAB & MTSU would be 16 seed play in teams.
I have just read through this thread for the first time today. I'm amazed at some of the opinions on this board. But they are your opinion, and you have a right to them.

From the semifinals on, I was pulling for UAB in the CUSA tourney. The reason is that I thought they were the most complete team (at the end of this season) that could get some wins in the NCAA tourney.

UAB defends fairly well, and has depth in the post to be able to continually defend the paint. They can score in the half court offense, and as the young guys have progressed, they are getting better and better. The Blazers play physical and have been rebounding the ball extremely well, while not fouling very much. They have a player they can go to when they need a bucket (Robert Brown). Those are the recipes for wins in the postseason.

I have no clue how they will do against UCLA, but I like their chances and I really like the team they have put together. William Lee is a future stud.

I can take sore losers but sore winners are just childish.

That said, I agree that UAB plays with discipline. And I think that ISU got several favorable no-calls yesterday. But like ND said, everyone needs to just drop it. No one outside of this board cares about the CUSA tournament right now.

Lol. Go read the La. Tech BBB forum. I love the accusations of UAB throwing the F_U games. "Them UAB cheaters!!" Embarrassing.

CUSA has always had arrogant fanbases, but unlike La Tech fans, the Memphis and Louisville fans had something to back up their arrogance. Sad, really.
