At some point, the b12 should get penalized for having only 10 teams.

So you want to shoot the ACC in the foot to fend off two non-threats? If so, you have a bright future in government.

My point was that neither are on the Atlantic.

LOL, the water that flows in the Atlantic also flows into the Gulf of Mexico and washes up on the Texas shoreline .04-cheers02-13-banana03-lmfao

So in a sense, Texas IS on the Atlantic coast.
Hey, the river that runs through Louisville (and Pittsburgh) eventually flows into the Gulf, too...

I'm down with Houston joining the ACC --- as long as they can get their basketball program to a top 75 status.

Houston to the ACC?
I could warm up to something like this:

Texas, Houston, TCU, Kansas St, Iowa St

ND, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, BC

NC, Duke, Virginia, VT, GT

FSU, Clemson, Miami, NC St, WF

Maybe play your 4 division games & 2 set rivals & then 1 from each division. This way the Carolina schools can play each other every year. Pitt can play ND, VT & maybe Miami every year.

I'm sure he has. But he might have to be an old fart like me to remember the Elvin Hayes and Don Chaney days. 03-wink

I assume he has, and frankly I'm not sure how important basketball would be for any new addition.

If it is of any importance, Houston should duck and cover. The program is 100% invisible. They have 1 NCAA appearance in the last quarter century, and that only resulted from an unlikely 4-0 run through the CUSA tournament when they started post season play at .500.

Houston's last win in the NCAA tournament? Try 1984.

I remember 1984. I was a member of a volleyball championship team that won the league battling other Louisville Apartment complexes teams. Great year.

Who could ever forget "the game of the century"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_th...asketball)

Even with Carolina in the middle of three final four seasons, students in Chapel Hill stopped to watch Houston and UCLA in the first "prime time" nationally broadcast basketball game. It was a classic!

The ACC isn't looking at expanding right now unless it involves bringing ND into the fold as a full member. Then if that happens, expect the expansion targets to more like WVU, Maryland, or Penn St.

Maryland, Penn State= definitely not!!
WVU= would love the invite, but doubt the ACC would actually do it.

don't see ND or Texas joining either. Both have million$ of rea$on$ not to do so.
