Alright cool. You just come across as a bit arrogant sometimes is all. I root for all of the WAC when CSUB isn't playing them. I don't want any ill will here.

About as arrogant as Rod Barnes saying he's the hottest coach in America but not getting one job offer? Lol!

RE: GCU Incoming Transfers
Yeah getting to the NIT semifinals is a pretty big deal idk if you've heard. 1st 8 seed to do it. Better than anything NMSU have done in about 40 years. Plus you can't really interview when you're still coaching (which NMSU wasn't lol). Almost every job was filled by the time the NIT was over.

Last 40 years? Sweet 16 in the 90s and give me a berth in the NCAA any day even with a first round exit vs an NIT final four in an empty Madison Square Garden on ESPN 2.

You comparing Bakersfields tradition to NMSUs is hilarious. When you guys stop playing in a high school gym maybe you can start talking smack.

Not talking tradition just recent results. When you guys beat us on our "high school gym" maybe you can start talking smack.

Yeah congrats on beating a team that was transitioning into D1 and building a program. Now that it's built your ass will be kicked. Never forget that game winning shot or when you were embarrassed in Bakersfield, I hope those still sting. Let that be a reminder.

Taking joy out of college kids crying over a game seems low even for you.

(04-21-2017 09:01 PM)ThunderDan49 Wrote: So since I initially posted the Casey Benson thread, the list of possible transfers to GCU has grown to 3. In order to clean it up, I have created this new thread. All are former Phoenix high school players and could possibly be returning home. The new list is:
1. Casey Benson: linked to GCU, but has said that he is still open to where he will end up
2. Zylan Cheatham: GCU has expressed interest in the former 4 star local product, along with a long list of schools
3. Mike Bibby, Jr.: Started 9 games his freshman year at USF and could possibly bring former teammate JJ Rhymes, who has been recruited by GCU since high school, but was forced to go to community college due to grades, with him for the 2018-2019 season.
Sources:
Bibby/Rhymes
Bibby/Cheatham/Benson
Let's see if we can get this thread back on track! Haha...
Reports saying Cheatham to ASU, so cross one off the list. I don't see Majerle & Bibby (Jr or Sr) mixing, so I'll cross him off. Assuming he doesn't sign with Wisconsin or Butler before making it to GCU for his final official visit, I'm guessing we know about Benson by this time next week.

He was a nice HS guard. I just have a hard time expecting too much out of any freshman. Hoping that he develops into something special (as we all do with these HS kids), but not counting on an immediate impact. I need to see him do it against D1 players.
