A USM fan talking basketball attendance smack?? Really??
From a recent home game against ODU
Exhibit A...
Exhibit B...
Exhibit C...
S. Miss just needs the right coach....
I was there for the Western loss in OT 2012-13 season and that place was loud and full. Then I was there 3 years ago and it was about like those pictures.
The arena is sad and needs updating but with attendance like the above picture....not happening.

Team has been hard to watch for a few years now
We've never been a basketball school
The coach isn't the type to excite a fan base
The arena is one of the worst in D1
Basketball has been #3 in Hattiesburg for years.

We really do have a great baseball atmosphere here in Hattiesburg. It's a great place to watch a game.
Cal St.-Fullerton, Stetson, one could argue for programs like Tulane and Oregon State as well having baseball as their #1. Up until recently, I'd argue it was definitely #1 at FAU and FIU. Heck, it still may be.
Baseball is #2 in many places down south though. LSU, MSU, OM, USA, for instance.

Besides this past season and the Rusty Smith era in football, I'd also argue baseball has been #1 at Florida Atlantic. The success we've had in baseball is unparalleled in any other sport. We currently hold the NCAA all-time record for consecutive wins at 34, have made many NCAA tournament appearances, and have been conference champions and conference tournament champions.
I'm glad to be in a conference with such great baseball programs as Rice, Southern Miss, etc.

Did the #1 in baseball correlate, attendance-wise at FAU ?

Before we built our football stadium on campus (attendance at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale was eh) baseball was our biggest draw 'til that point. I've noticed a slight decline in attendance, but baseball still outdraws basketball; if you go by how many butts are in the seats. We've always had pretty good attendance for the sport and if we invested more in the program (field could use some improvements), we'd be more dominant on the field and in the bleachers.

clt keeps making comments in different threads about UNT being small. mturn assumed clt was trolling but no UNT fans were biting.
clt knows that UNT has undergrad enrollment above 30K, yes?
