i think randy deserves better than 9th tbh. He had literally no talent and the team still improved dramatically over the course of last season. IK our record did not change, but if you watched every game like i did you could easily see the improvement as each week passed...i say 6 or 7 but definitely not 9.

Houston lands Nick Watkins. CB transfer from Notre Dame. Started 9 games last season. Second on the team in pass breakups. UH just got the starting corner they’ve been missing. Add him with Deontay Anderson, Isaiah Chambers, Darrion Owens, Raelon Singleton, and Terence Williams. And UH isn’t done yet.

watkins was a former 4star all-american , top 200 recruit.... cb was the weak point of our defense, this could be so big for us....

for those not keeping track, our transfer additions:
- 4star DE isaiah chambers from tcu (elite level sacker) transferred cause aunt got sick, 3 years eligibility
- 4star S deontay anderson (former #1 saftey recruit) transfered from ole miss scandel. 3 years elgibilty
- 4star LB darrion owens from Miami (recruited to miami by our current DC)
- 4star QB Quinton Dormandy- started numerous games for tennesse
- 4star RB Terence Williams- 1000yd rusher at baylor (wanted to rejoin briles)
- 3star WR Raelon Singleton, utah's second leading receiver

with the addition of Watkins, there will be atleast 1 4star in ever single position group on defense

No one cares about stars once you're in college. It's something to waste time with before the season starts.

people who are salty a different team i getting touted recruits that they arent...all of them played extensively at their other school (except chambers who transferred as a freshmen cause his family got sick, but did have numerous sacks in the spring game)

ed oliver is still constantly referred to as a 5star..he is a 2 time all american, the most decorated non power 5/AQ player ever (awards/all american honors).. who has only played 2 years as a sophmore..is still referred to as a 5star

No one cares about stars once you're in college ..offcourse except every coach ever....jacob eason could have gone to any school he wanted in the nation when he transfered, and it had nothing to do with his subpar performance and Georgia

shea patterson is top 5 favorite to win the heisman at michigan and it has little to do with his subpar play at ole miss (hasnt even been named the starter yet)

but let the jealousy fuel you 03-cloud9
if 8 former elite recruits with extensive playing time transferred to temple, im sure youd have a different opinion

So you’re saying if Houston gets beat, it’s on the coaches cause they had 4*s everywhere?

Yup. Let's not forget that Edsall is still mostly coaching Diaco's recruits (ie the worst recruiting classes in UCONN's FBS history). I'd have Edsall at 7th.

diaco recruited jn the 100s... edsall"s recruiting class is 87th. While not great, its around what he pulled in in the big east. Also i have heard that pindell (qb) is alot more comfortable and confident this year. He had taken on a leadership role. I feell ike we will be better. But its still a process. Hopefully our new oc isnt awful lol. But we have great rivalry games this year in Cuse, UMass, URI.

I expect at least 28,000 for URI and UMass

1) To be fair, the reason Ed Oliver is constantly referred to as a 5-star recruit is because of the extreme rarity of a 5-star going to a non "Power" conference. There are plenty of 5-star players on "Power" conference teams that are not constantly referred to as 5-star recruits once they are established players.

2) Anyone who transfers to Michigan (or Alabama, Ohio St, etc) is automatically going to be given the benefit of the doubt and considered a superstar.

3) I'm happy to see Houston bringing in these high quality transfers. We need strong teams in the conference.

Pesik only has one issue about the transfer of players. He and some others believe that a 4 star transfer is the equivalent of a 4 star out of high school. The transfer has washed out once. If I were comparing transfers using the star system, I would subtract a star for every college attended.
