So your teams got up for the BIG STATE school but you still suck at everything except Football.

And to think the C-USA is going to surpass the Big East is laughable at best right now. Fact is in football with the departing schools the WAC is rated higher then you. At best you are the 9th best football conference and the 10th best basketball conference.

The Big East is firmly in 6th best football league and argubly the number 1 basketball league in the country. Yet you claim in a few years C-USA is going to pass us. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ROTFLMAO. :haha: :roflol:

What has Toledo and UCF done....EVER????
I know you don't want to talk about football. Toledo has a winning tradition. Louisville, well, pretty good at basketball and two good seasons in football.

Not that I have to defend Louisville, but come on! Louisville has been to the Fiesta Bowl and been to something like 7 straight bowl games. That's more then 2 good seasons and that is a winning tradition.
They have done well in a very weak football conference.

Toledo has been at the top of a strong football conference for over a decade.

It won't be ECU. I'd love us to join the Big East. But as long as Mike Tranghese runs the show, it ain't gonna happen.

hey moron, if you are going to compare, at least compare apples to apples. Tulane and Army were 2 of the weakest teams in C-USA. If you want to compare to them you need to compare them to Rutgers and USF.

Trust me, if we would have played the "Rockets" we would have crushed them as well. Toledo is nice but you are no Miami (Oh) or Marshall.

BTW top to bottom the C-USA was a much better league then the MAC.

Quote:Prove it! Marshall beat WVU in every sport we played against them this year

-- And if we all followed Green Bison's logic Santa Clara had a better bball team last yr then North Carolina...the truth of the matter is MUs bball program is a joke...its been decades since they even made it to the NIT

Quote:whey would the BE (or new football league) add Temple when the BCS criteria takes overall conference strength into consideration, not just the top?

-- Because the BCS takes markets into consideration as well....I think there is a real danger for our league (if we seperate) to expand to far out of the eastern footprint....its what makes the conference unique....the more eastern teams we have the stronger our claim is to the eastern marktes

You're right, Toledo is know Miami or Marshall......stats show they are better.

[code:1]School            MAC            Overall
1. Toledo         31-7            46-16
2. Marshall       32-8            44-19
3. Miami          31-9            41-21
4. NIU           28-10            39-19
5. BGSU          26-14            39-21
6. Akron         23-17            27-30
7. WMU           18-22            24-34
8. Ball State    17-21            22-35
9. Kent          15-25            20-37
10. Ohio         13-27            16-41
11. EMU          10-28            13-42
12. CMU          10-30            16-41
13. Buffalo       9-31             9-48
14. UCF*          8-16            10-25

*UCF's records are for 2002-2004
[/code:1]

I would like to add that Toledo has won 3 of the last 4 games against Marshall too, including a 42-0 victory over the Herd in 2000......a year that Marshall beat C-USA's #2 team in the MCB.

In 2002 Marshall beat Louisville by 23 points. This was the only year that Marshall beat Toledo since 1999, but the Herd only won by 4 points at home against Toledo. No reason to think that Toledo couldn't have beat Louisville that year.

In 1998 Marshall beat Louisville by 19 points. The Herd only beat Toledo by 6 points at Marshall that year. No reason to think that Toledo couldn't have beat Louisville that year.

The past 4 years Louisville has outranked Toledo and it really hasn't been close. Only 1 time and that was during our horrible year in 2002 when we went 7-6 was the only time the Rockets had a higher BCS ranking then Louisville.

2004 BCS Ranking Louisville 10th, Toledo 53rd
2003 BCS Ranking Louisivlle 43rd, Toledo 54th
2002 BCS Ranking Louisville 65th, Toledo 45th
2001 BCS Ranking Louisville 27th, Toledo 41st

<a href='http://www.geocities.com/rtell/' target='_blank'>http://www.geocities.com/rtell/</a>

Average UofL BCS ranking including the 2002 Flop 36
Average Toledo BCS Ranking is 48

At best, you are a Memphis student or alum. Memphis is a glorified community college in a toilet of a town. I just passed through there recently and visited the school. What a shithole. Memphis is the dirtiest city I have ever seen, and I grew up in Detroit, lived in Toledo for a year and visited Juarez Mexico last summer. So I know dirty cities.

Anyway, as I was saying, at best, you are a Memphis student or alum. Thus, you have absolutely ZERO standing in calling ANYONE a "moron," much less me. You go/went to a commuter school with open enrollment.

BTW, Rutgers beat a good Big Ten team this past year. Army would have their hands full with Buffalo.

Shows what you know about Toledo football.

You're one of those idiots who thinks that Marshall has been an even mediocre football team (much less good) the past several years.

Toledo beat both Marshall and Miami last year. Not to mention 8th ranked Pitt the year before.

The MAC, much like Memphis academics, gets no respect.
The MAC, unlike Memphis academics, is underrated.

First off you're a guest on a Big East board and you want to call people idiots. Tread lightly little man.

Second, you're TOLEDO for God Sakes. Nobody outside of NW Ohio gives a rats ****** about TOLEDO.

Third, you're TOLEDO for God Sakes. Nobody outside of NW Ohio gives a rats ****** about TOLEDO.

When the Rockets finish in the Top 10 in Every Major Poll, when the Rockets have only 4 schools in the entire country produce more NFL Draftees in 2005 then come talk to me. Other then that you are TOLEDO. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ROTFLMAO :stupid:   :roflol:

Can we talk about something other than Toledo? The have a nice program, but they are insignificant in regards to the Big East. They are not even of interest to the league. Let's move on. There are bigger fish to fry.

You reap what you sow. Some dipshit called me names first. That makes you fair game.

Don't like it? Corral your retards and tell them to have a little class. Because I will drop the gloves with anyone at any time.

I will not have my intelligence insulted by some Big East student or grad. You have no right. When you attend a school with academic standards (Pitt notwithstanding) let me know.

OF COURSE they aren't of interest to the league. Any time one of your teams makes a trip to Toledo, they walk out with an L. As does everyone who plays Toledo at Toledo.

Again you're freaking Toledo and you must be at least 17 years old. This is kinda funny if these post weren't so pathetic. Lil Toledo Student talking smack to schools that have played in major New Years Day Bowl like the Sugar, Fiesta and Orange Bowls. Yes Louisville, West Virginia, Pitt and Syracuse have played and won such bowls and Syracuse, West Virginia and Pitt have played for the National Championship with Syracuse and Pitt winning titles. Just be glad you are eligible for the Motor City Bowl.

Uh, dumb***, look at my name. RocketWolverine. One of them is my favorite team and one is my alma mater. I'll give you a hint, my favorite team is about 45min south of my alma mater.

BTW, take a look back at the record books. There's this new thing out called a "bookstore." In it they have these things called "books." I realize that you have never had the need to use one, that Big East schools don't really require one to actually READ, but have a grown-up take you to Barnes and Noble sometime. After you have gotten your fill of flipping through Thomas the Tank Engine books, have that grown-up take you over to where they keep the sports books and get yourself a copy of the NCAA Football record book. Flip through it and you will see that you know absolutely ZILCH about Toledo football.

Thanks for playing, have a nice day.

I guess you are so dense you could not reckonize what Maize is for. It is short for Maize and Blue. Again I not going to call you any names because unlike you I am not some immature little person.

Again you are on a Big East Board talking junk about Toledo. The Rockets are nothing more then some Mid Major in NW Ohio. As for being a Michigan alum I am ashamed to be associated with fans like yourself.
