Thank you. All this Toledo talk is a little silly. I mean, really. Toledo. They really aren't in the picture as far as possible BE expansion is concerned.

Maize; why even bother bantering with this guy? If the best that he can do on a sports board is talk smack about his schools "superior" academics, then you know he is not worth our time.

You reap what you sow. Some dipshit called me names first. That makes you fair game.
Don't like it? Corral your retards and tell them to have a little class. Because I will drop the gloves with anyone at any time.
I will not have my intelligence insulted by some Big East student or grad. You have no right. When you attend a school with academic standards (Pitt notwithstanding) let me know.
Again you're freaking Toledo and you must be at least 17 years old. This is kinda funny if these post weren't so pathetic. Lil Toledo Student talking smack to schools that have played in major New Years Day Bowl like the Sugar, Fiesta and Orange Bowls. Yes Louisville, West Virginia, Pitt and Syracuse have played and won such bowls and Syracuse, West Virginia and Pitt have played for the National Championship with Syracuse and Pitt winning titles. Just be glad you are eligible for the Motor City Bowl.
Uh, dumb***, look at my name. RocketWolverine. One of them is my favorite team and one is my alma mater. I'll give you a hint, my favorite team is about 45min south of my alma mater.
BTW, take a look back at the record books. There's this new thing out called a "bookstore." In it they have these things called "books." I realize that you have never had the need to use one, that Big East schools don't really require one to actually READ, but have a grown-up take you to Barnes and Noble sometime. After you have gotten your fill of flipping through Thomas the Tank Engine books, have that grown-up take you over to where they keep the sports books and get yourself a copy of the NCAA Football record book. Flip through it and you will see that you know absolutely ZILCH about Toledo football.
Thanks for playing, have a nice day.
LOL, now I've seen everything. Toledo fans talking trash on a BCS League football forum. Hehe
Go back and play w/ all the Ohio U, Akron and Kent fans. Oh, and Central Michigan. Musn't forget Central Michigan.

I like Louisville a lot, but the BEast is a much better football conference.
hey moron, if you are going to compare, at least compare apples to apples. Tulane and Army were 2 of the weakest teams in C-USA. If you want to compare to them you need to compare them to Rutgers and USF.
At best, you are a Memphis student or alum. Memphis is a glorified community college in a toilet of a town. I just passed through there recently and visited the school. What a shithole. Memphis is the dirtiest city I have ever seen, and I grew up in Detroit, lived in Toledo for a year and visited Juarez Mexico last summer. So I know dirty cities.
Anyway, as I was saying, at best, you are a Memphis student or alum. Thus, you have absolutely ZERO standing in calling ANYONE a "moron," much less me. You go/went to a commuter school with open enrollment.
BTW, Rutgers beat a good Big Ten team this past year. Army would have their hands full with Buffalo.
And you guys lost by 40 to Minnesota and to Kansas. KANSAS!!

You go to Memphis.
Hell, you live in Memphis.
That automatically makes you unable to talk smack about any other city or anyone else's level of intelligence.

BTW, I know full well what maize is. I earned the diploma. You're just a bandwagon fan who settled for a commuter school in a toilet of a city. Congrats on that.

Prove it! Marshall beat WVU in every sport we played against them this year. Marshall's softball and tennis teams also won their conference this year.
And no, I do not want Marshall in the Big East. I think C-USA will surpass your league in a couple of years, but that's another topic all together.
GreenBison; What you hope and what you think are 2 different things.
But please explain briefly why you feel that in a couple of years that CUSA will surpass the BE. I am especially willing to hear your reasoning on this matter, because CUSA was rated behind the Atlantic 10 this past year, a 1aa conference. And thats with Louisville in CUSA. I have in the past seen posters from CUSA print such things, but they were very delusional. But based on the few posts that I have seen from you, you seem to be much more grounded than some of the others. Thats why I would like to see the reasoning that you posted the above.
The MAC and I think the Sunbelt was rated higher. To me, based on the different ratings from people that know, it seems that CUSA is light years away from being where the BE is right now, much less surpassing it.
1 ATLANTIC COAST (A) = 77.91 78.09 ( 2) 11
2 PAC-10 (A) = 77.84 78.89 ( 1) 10
3 I-A INDEPENDENTS (A) = 76.98 76.98 ( 4) 2
4 BIG 12 (A) = 76.42 77.08 ( 3) 12
5 BIG TEN (A) = 75.63 75.29 ( 5) 11
6 SOUTHEASTERN (A) = 74.13 74.31 ( 6) 12
7 MOUNTAIN WEST (A) = 72.08 72.91 ( 7) 8
8 BIG EAST (A) = 71.98 71.56 ( 8) 7
9 WESTERN ATHLETIC (A) = 67.40 68.40 ( 9) 10
10 ATLANTIC 10 (AA)= 65.74 65.14 ( 11) 12
11 CONFERENCE USA (A) = 65.66 66.75 ( 10) 11
12 SUN BELT (A) = 60.24 60.46 ( 12) 9
13 GREAT WEST (AA)= 56.73 56.72 ( 13) 6
14 BIG SKY (AA)= 55.90 56.49 ( 14) 8
15 MID-AMERICAN (A) = 55.69 56.35 ( 15) 14
16 SOUTHLAND (AA)= 55.53 55.73 ( 17) 6
17 IVY LEAGUE (AA)= 54.93 55.78 ( 16) 8
Why C-USA will pass the BE in football in 4-5 years....
1. MT wants a Basketball league not a football league. You had Miami for crying out loud and MT let them go. There's no way in hell that they took MT by surprise, he knew what was going on, he just didn't care.
2. A 12 team conference equals a championship and that makes the league more competitive. Look what a championship did for the MAC, they advanced leaps and bounds over their old status. What hurt the MAC were the 7 schools that didn't see the light and wanted to remain what they always were... a bus league.
3. C-USA will get more competitive because of the championship game because all the schools see the importance of growing their athletic programs.
4. The BE doesn't have a championship game and won't become more competitive.
5. The C-USA has some very nice markets to play in front of, just as good as the markets that the BE plays in front of.

Did Santa Clara beat North Carolina in EVERY SINGLE SPORTING EVENT that they played against each other?
Face it, Marshall's athletic program kicked WVU's butt in every sporting event we faced you all in this year, and it's not the first time.
Swimming
Basketball
Women's Basketball
Volleyball
Softball
Tennis
Should I mention more?

Don't talk too much smack about the BEast. A reliable source told me that the Marshall move to the CUSA was "only temporary" and could turn out to be only for one or two years. After that, it's to the BEast with you.
Hopefully Toledo will meet you there and we can beat up on these arrogant tools.

Let's not get back into this arguement.
Top of MAC has played better than the Top of C-USA in recent history, except this past season. Head to head (mostly bowl games) MAC has a winning, and possibly perfect record over C-USA schools in this time. They also had a better bowl record against other schools. This isn't something that's debatable.
The bottom of the MAC has been and still is worse than the bottom of C-USA has been/is...and there are more of them. We're talking consistant 100-117 rankings. This isn't debatable.
During this time, C-USA has been able to secure more (and better) bowls and more (and better) tv contracts. Look it up. This isn't debatable.
So what have we learned?? "Which Conference is better" is a broad question" and can be split up many ways - the main two being "Which Conference plays better football" (Until 2004, the MAC with the pinnacle being 2003) and "Which Conference is better to be a member of" (Conference USA wins for getting more with less).
Every on the field MAC victory over a C-USA team just makes it more obvious that the MAC is letting isn't able to sell it's product.

Yeah, they took it, along with the goalposts and dumped them in the Ottawa River.
