Was the coach replaced?

Yup. ECU can have more talent, but when ya got an Ollie, ya got an Ollie.

Here come the Memphis fans

Well at least you have no problem that he picked you last.

Would expect nothing else from him. Any higher and I would have to do a welfare check on him

I don't have any malice toward anyone. I just like to poke fun from time to time.

As for the rankings, Memphis needs a new Qb and star WR. That is not a good sign unless you have someone who can reload those positions for you which is rare at any program.

SMU has a new coach which usually means a drop in production unless you're stepping into a Cadillac like Lincoln Riley did at OU last year.

With the West being so competitive these teams' situations can be the difference between moving up or down 2 or 3 or 4 spots in the standings.

UC is gaining more talent but I feel they are still two years away.

Would love to see Memphis vs. UCF again!

Games vs. Temple and Tulane will be huge. Houston could for sure be better than 6-6. The Cougars and ECU are the two teams I feel have the best shot to beat my predictions.

no offense your projection are pure booty... 6-6 is the lowest of literally anyone ive seen...

you have us losing to temple
you have us losing to tulane
you have us losing to texas tech
you have us losing to navy

all games we'll be heavily favored in..sure an upset or 2 is a thing that might happen but losing to ALL of them
(wont mention arizona or memphis)

talking pure talent, houston has more 4 and 5star players on our roster by a WIDE gap than anyone in the aac...

Houston was #1 in rushing tds allowed, and #2 in passing tds allowed last season in the aac ...our defense is projected to be better next year

houston added 8 4* transfers this offseason..but you have us getting worse??????

offense was the problem last year....1st problem was we lead the aac in turnovers (80% of those turnovers were from kyle allen and kyle postma who arent our qbs anymore) d'eriq king had a 7-2 td-int ratio

the second was producing offensive yards, our new OC has never had a bad offense in his entire coaching History...his worst EVER offense would be 2000 more yards than what we produced last year, and that was the year the scandal broke and everyone was fired midseason (that year was 2000yds lower than his average, yes, our offense last year was 4000yds lower than his average)
--our spring game was offensive fireworks, he turned fau into an offensive power in 1 year

hell even if our offense wasn't projected better 6-6 would still be laughable, on the basis of our defense alone.....
we were just having a debate in the houston forum about a 8-4 projection by a publication and how that would be unacceptable for the talent we have ...

you are the first to project 6-6 .....no offense it is the worst projection ive seen to date

Hard to place these teams right now. It's a year where there could seriously be a 3 way tie for 3rd or 4th place. And any of the 6 teams could end up being in that 3 way tie.

I don’t believe Houston will be “heavily favored” against Temple, TT or Navy; favored maybe but not heavily. UH may turn into UCF-2017 but it’s all on paper right now. Houston could be and should be better than 6-6 but needs to prove it on the field.

For some reason I think Tulane and Cincy are going to surprise a lot of people. Tulsa ain't gonna do squat though.

Picking Tulane to do better than Tulsa is historically a bad decision. Considering they've beat us 3 times in 14 years and part of the reason they did last season was that we switched QB's mid game (because of how bad the starter was doing) and our secondary was completely depleted by the time we got there. We had lost 2 starting strong safeties to that point and we lost the starting FS on the first drive.
