Perhaps I am still shell shocked from our loss to Houston, but I am very surprised that Temple is only a one point underdog. The betting public has immense confidence in the Owls.

Why? I do not see it.

However, the one point margin matches exactly with "KenPom Predictor". https://gamepredict.us/kenpom

Game's at Temple, worth about 7 pts., neutral court it's about UH -8, at UH-10 to -12.

Temple could either win a close one or get destroyed. Houston has done both to us over the years, even at home. Hoping for the close win and for Quinton Rose to play to his potential. Anyway looks like we will need to defend the perimeter tough tonight.

RE: 1/9 (Wednesday) AAC Basketball Games
I don't think Houston Goes undefeated in the league by any stretch. But I'm also not sure if Temple is going to be the team that beats them.

Just going to be a matter of how well Temple handles Houston's perimeter defense.

Both teams on paper shoot poorly from 3 but I think Houston is the better shooting team (if they stop letting Hinton, Cedric Alley, Jareau shoot, they'd be a really good 3 point shooting team).
  • Temple doesn't defend the 3 ball well
  • Temple generates a lot of Turnovers, but Houston protects the ball really wel
  • Houston can get really handsy with the fouling, but Temple is a team that doesn't draw a lot of fouls.

Temple's biggest advantage will be that this is the best Team Houston has played on the road, they have multiple scoring options. I just think if Temple wins, its either because Houston couldn't hit a 3 pointer OR Temple found a way to keep them from getting open looks.

At least this game gets off ESPN 3. It should be good, Coach Sampson speaks very highly of Fran and I think Temple will be ready to play.

Hoping we keep the undefeated streak but it won’t be easy.

I think it all depends on the rebounding. If the Coogs control the boards, I think that is enough for them to pull off the win, so Temple has to hit their shots. Secondary battle will be turnovers.

I think it'll be a close game all the way to the end, I'm thinking less than 5 points separate at the end.

Home game. Refs get free cheese steaks for doing a good job.

Just checking in, since apparently USF basketball fans don't ever post in these.

I'll be at the game, so chill-the-fu(k out if I'm not posting while it's happening.
