Thats impossible with 8 conference games. That would mean they only play 5 divisional opponents. In order to have a ccg, you have to play everyone in your division, which would mean SIX division games.

9 is the answer.

12 is a very distant second place.

10 is in third place.

Current CUSA structure of 14 comes in fourth, although I'd entertain arguments for 8 or maybe 16 (as not necessarily worse).

Tie for last place goes to former CUSA - UAB structure of 13 with 11 and 15.
