This year has major 5-25 vibes. Exactly how that season felt - hopeless.

I know tonight there's a good reason...but damn this season is not enjoyable.

This train wreck has finally gotten so bad that I has to stop watching. You would think that even Wood can see a change is necessary but I'm not holding my breath.

I still had fun watching games when we were a 5 win team with BT. I literally could care less. I can’t wait to see this whole thing blow up and start fresh. So long overdue. Wood should be absolutely embarrassed.

As a young man my Dad would take me to see Dave T. play. I saw Wilson Washington and Joel Copeland play. Was at Scope the night the lights went out for 2 hours and stayed and watched the game. We have had season tickets since 1980 and this might be worse than the 5 win season of Blaine Taylor. I will still be at the rest of the home games, but it is hard to watch right now. Sorry I took so much time, but thought it would make me feel better. I don't.

I can promise you this team is worse than the 5 win team. This will be the worst team in school history. And now Allette is hurt… he was probably the only reason to watch to begin with.

I’m also searching for a silver lining here, and I think I’ve finally found one - - although is it microscopically thin: At least Jeff Jones won’t get on the coach’s show tonight and blame the loss on the players for not doing what he tells them to do.

Like elon, I will keep attending home games this season. But selfishly I am quietly regretting my decision to renew season tickets this year.

Wood is the idiot that got us into this mess. He may or may not have been forced into it, but the buck stops with him.

Most of the sunbelt basketball teams have pitiful attendance. Thanks to espn, we have a yearly long term t.v. contract. But it has to be embarrassing to see empty arenas. ODU has always been one of the best attendances, both in CUSA & SUNBELT. I realise our best players are out but, Troy looks like they do have some decent players & movement. My point is with our paid fans, our AD & coaches should give the fans a better product or the gateway arena will look like the half full stadium. Wood & JJ should have better quality players. I will say ODU has become a good foul shooting team, it that will help.

I’m telling you guys, it’s better to not watch. I just checked the score and laughed. Went on about my night and just checked in here to read the comments. It’s not worth the energy and frustration. For the first time in over 30 years, I’m happier not following the squad so closely.

All we kept hearing from the know it alls on here was this team would be better than last year. All I kept saying was wait and see but I don't see how. This team has no shooters, no rebounders, and frankly runs the same offense we have ran year after year and you can scout us with your eyes closed. Ughh...I am sure there will excuses made but there are NONE ! JJ needs to go !!!

Missing our two best players we leave Troy with a 4-10 record.

I would recommend folks go to the women's games instead of the mens. Yea we lost tonight, but at least with the women's team there's a chance they can win the game. I went with some friends tonight and we had a pretty good time, even in defeat. Would periodically check the mens score and at one point even showed it to my friends and said "at least we're not watching the men's game!"

Don't worry. We have good recruits coming in and will be better next year lol.

Got it down to 13. That was actually pretty impressive. The sad thing is Troy played horrible. We are just that much worse. It's just so hard to watch these guys make so many mistakes back to back to back.

Can’t expect the team to hang in there with the 2 best players out, but Troy was sleepwalking through that second half, and the score doesn’t show how bad it actually was. Things are only going to get worse.

I tried to find stats, but they must have killed us on the boards. So many 2nd chance points.

You can just tell the morale is shot.
