The same "fake" Big East has sold old out 11 consecutive sessions at Madison Square Garden (19,812) while early round tickets for this season's ACC tournament could be had for $1 on Stubhub.
He’s not an ACC fan, why you bringing Washington DC into this?!?! Nobody wants to go there!

RE: UCONN is the team of the 21st Century
Let’s think about this.
Should the Big 12 have invited UConn in 2021, either in addition to or instead of Cincy, UCF, or Houston?
Hindsight is 20/20, but I'd argue that UConn's value has increased over the last two years.

Yeah, let's think about this.
Hmmm... do we want our football programs to have exposure for recruiting in Ohio, Florida, Texas or ... Connecticut ????
That's a hard one.

The Big 12 is already in Texas so Houston is no added exposure.

Fake Big East? Was the Big East of the 80s the fake Big East?
Big East of the 80s and their current conference membership:
Boston College (ACC)
Providence (Big East)
UConn (Big East)
Syracuse (ACC)
St. John’s (Big East)
Seton Hall (Big East)
Pitt (ACC)
Villanova (Big East)
Georgetown (Big East)
DePaul (bless their hearts) and Marquette have, believe it or not, been in the league for almost 20 years.
If anything, West Virginia, USF, Miami, and even Louisville and Cincinnati were “fake” Big East schools who used the league for a couple of hours just to jump ship to a P5. (Or not so much in USF’s case.)
Today’s Big East will still be around in ten years. It’s questionable with many other conferences.
Fake Big East (AKA C7) - Current non football league that :

and
b) consists of one good team (used to be Villanova and currently Yukon) and
c) nine posers that act like they're Ewing and Pearl Washington.
A conference that has had multiple teams win multiple national titles in the last decade is clearly not a one team conference.
Are you trying to fault the Big East for not having two different teams win the national title in the same exact year? We would need some big rule changes to the tournament to allow ties and split titles for that to happen.

So 3 teams making the sweet 16 this year means only one of them was any good? Last year there were also 3 sweet 16 teams, and two elite 8 teams. I mean the two years before that they only had 2 sweet 16 teams.
I dunno, for a conference that has 11 members, having multiple teams make the sweet 16 and beyond every year seems pretty good.

RE: UCONN is the team of the 21st Century
The Big East will be better next year.
UConn will dominate the portal.
Marquette will take a small step down but still be a second weekend type team.
Creighton will be a really good team again.
Pitino is going to abuse the portal. They will be a tournament team.
Decent chance Seton Hall is a tournament team.
Nova is 50/50 to make the tournament.
Sean Miller and Xavier will be at least a bubble team.
Thad Matter will have Butler on the bubble again.
Providence will likely take a step back.
Georgetown will likely improve.
DePaul will stink again.
The Big East will get at least five teams in the tournament.

It's crazy how much the AAC was dragging them down.

Another hire like Scott Satterfield and Xavier will pass UC in football, too

In what was seen as a little bit of a down year for the conference it had a 1, 2, and 3 seed in the tournament.
