Wow! How many is that... FOUR Interceptions thrown by Wake?
Negates that FG block and all of the other Deac heroics.

RE: Open Thread - Week 9
Burn that game tape for eternity. That counts as a loss for Wake Forest but it was so ugly on both sides I'm not sure Louisville gets to count it as a win.

Wake's QB's completed only nine passes to teammates while Louisville had four picks. On the other end, Louisville's special teams are so special they ride the short bus. After having a punt blocked for a TD last week against BC, this week they fumbled a punt catch leading to Wake points and had a late game FG blocked and ran back 30 yards.

Louisville has looked so bad the last two weeks I may be less confident in bowl eligibility than I was two weeks ago despite moving from a 2-4 record to 4-4.

Quick summary: they had to cut the camera away as Swofford and Mack Brown were dishing out so many compliments to each other that ESPN became concerned they may start Getting physical with each other.

I'm fairly confident that Swofford said that Brown was the best he ever had.

I'm one of the biggest Coastal un-fans here this year. And even I don't think that would happen.

Would you be shocked if they did? It's not like we're talking about UVA winning the division. This whole conference is garbage this year.

And the UNC fans just loved it when I said that earlier, so I'll keep it in the repertoire for awhile.

All I hear is how much better and "deeper" the Coastal is than the Atlantic.

Code:
Rank    Division    S&P+
1    SEC West    11.9
2    ACC Atlantic    10
3    B1G East    8
4    B1G West    6.7
5    Pac-12 South    6.4
6    ACC Coastal    5.2
7    Pac-12 North    4.2
8    SEC East    4
9    AAC West    0.4
10    MAC West    -0.2
11    MWC Mountain    -1.9
12    AAC East    -2.6
13    CUSA East    -4.5
14    MAC East    -5.3
15    MWC West    -7.6

The Cards have done their best to lose the last 2 games with atrocious tackling, poor special teams play, turnovers & stupid penalties & yet they got 2 wins. This team hasn't improved, they have regressed. What the hell is going on?

McGee's play calling has been atrocious at times. I would rather us bring Paul Petrino back

So then the coastal isn't as "better and deeper" as you would like to think.

Come on Marge. I know you enjoy being sarcastic, but just on eye test alone, the Coastal is much better. The Atlantic has Syracuse, Wake, BC -- all terrible. Everyone in the Coastal would beat all of them. Then there's NC State. Va Tech has already beaten them. Even GT has beaten FSU this year. The wins by the Atlantic over the Coastal this year: Clemson beat Miami and GT. FSU beat Miami. To this point, no other Atlantic team has beaten a Coastal team. However, a Coastal team has beaten one of the goliaths.

The Coastal isn't "much better" and never has been. What they have been is deeper, and as good because they are deeper. Let's not try to make it more than it is.
